I'm almost 20 years busy with a research of a Lancaster (582 Sqn 6O-T ND714) crash who crashed in De Panne (La Panne) Belgium 14-15 June 1944.
The Lancaster was returning from a bombing mission as Master Bomber on the marshalling yards of Douais (France).
The Aircraft was shot down by a German Nightfighter Oblt Werner Hopf (8 / NJG 5).
The place where the lancaster crashed was between Stp Mckensen & HBK Duinhoek near the French - Belgian border.
I have the German report (Formblatt 2) of the Fliegerhorstkommandantur (Wevelghem) its says that the 2 Füselier Kompanie F.P. Nr. 58677 C guarded the aircraft. Can somebody help me with the FP Nr., which Unit or Regiment they belong to & where I can find a fieldreport of 14-15 June 1944.
Thanks a lot,
Warrant Officer (Belgian Air Force)
